Hearing

You keep asking people to repeat? It is not your age talking, it is your hearing.

A hearing test takes an hour, by appointment, without commitment. You leave with your results explained in plain words.

The television a little louder every year, the family meal where you nod without following, the telephone you avoid: these signs are common, and they have answers. We take the time to listen, to test, and to explain what can be done.

Our hearing test is not a medical diagnosis. If something is unusual, we refer you to your doctor or an ENT specialist.

Reading the paper on a terrace: the conversation around comes back too.

Step by step

How a fitting goes, from the first visit to the follow-up

1

A hearing test at the centre

About an hour, by appointment and without commitment: we talk about what bothers you, then test your hearing in a soundproof booth.

2

A medical prescription

Hearing aids are fitted on prescription from an ENT specialist or your doctor. Our test does not replace their examination.

3

A trial in your daily life

We set up the hearing aids and you take them home. We see you again during the trial to adjust them.

4

Follow-up, year after year

Regular check-ups, new settings when your hearing changes, cleaning and small repairs at the centre.

Nadia B.100% Santé
"My mother would not hear of hearing aids. The specialist took the time with her, twice. She wears them every day now."

Your questions before coming

Do I need a prescription?
For hearing aids, yes: they are fitted on prescription from an ENT specialist or your doctor, and the prescription is needed for any reimbursement. You can come for a hearing test before seeing the doctor.
What is 100% Santé?
A selection of class I hearing aids with no out-of-pocket cost if your top-up insurance contract is responsible, which is the case for most of them. We always include one in your quote, next to the class II options.
Can I try hearing aids before buying them?
Yes. You wear them in your daily life for several weeks, we adjust them along the way, and you decide at the end.
Is the follow-up paid separately?
No. Check-ups and adjustments are part of the fitting and are shown on your quote. Batteries and small accessories are the only things you buy afterwards.
How long does it take to get used to hearing aids?
Every person is different. The first days, everyday sounds can seem loud: that is why we adjust the settings step by step during the trial.
Can a close one come with me?
We recommend it. A close one notices situations you no longer notice, and a familiar voice helps us set the hearing aids.
